Working in conjunction with the Local Authority to replace the existing extra care facility, the planning permission for the 31 flat extra care building was achieved at the third attempt, submissions for 39 and 36 flats to meet the Local Authority housing need not approved at Planning.
Procurement commenced with negotiation with the Contractor for previous BHSE developments then following a need to achieve Homes and Community Agency funding, procurement procedures with guidance through the Aster Group Framework, a mini-tender two stage/cost plan for the initial 39 flat scheme followed by a full tender for the 36 flat scheme. Following planning for the 31 flat scheme, a further tender procedure applied.
