Oaklands College is committed to achieving excellence in teaching and learning and the new college will have an inspiring and stimulating environment to provide this. This flagship development brings together innovative design and construction to create a flexible campus which can meet current and future curriculum delivery. The new college will be an iconic statement about the quality, vibrancy and relevance of further education to south Hertfordshire. The redevelopment will provide 30,000 m2 of new centralised teaching accommodation in order to develop a hub and spoke concept serving a number of sites around Hertfordshire. Also provided will be 3,000m2 of sports facilities, including world class hockey and equestrian centres (both to the new ODA standards), four all-weather pitches to university/LSC competition standards and a golf school.
