BAQUS Construction Consultancy is pleased to announce that the project at the United Church of St. Mark's in Epsom, Surrey has reached completion.

The scheme included a new hall and meeting room between the Church and the existing hall, a more flexible worship area, a larger entrance lobby and Church office.

BAQUS Construction Consultancy provided Cost Management and CDM Co-ordination services for the project.

The project was tricky because the Church had to remain in use whilst the building work was carried out and so arrangements had to be made to maintain safe access (and essential services such as power and water) to allow the local community to use the church as normal. The firm’s team was proactive in splitting the works into phases to enable this ongoing use whilst still meeting the Church’s deadline.

Throughout the project a number of variations arose but with effective cost control BAQUS kept the final account within budget.
