The first phases of the new Endoscopy Development at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust have been successfully completed.

The works include the relocation of various departments including the Friends of St Mary's shop (shown) within the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) building, to decant the area for the new Endoscopy Department.

The works were carried out within a live hospital environment and involved out-of-hours working and close co-operation with the existing hospital users.

The new facility which will provide a five-procedure room Endoscopy and Physiology Unit is due to commence on-site mid 2014 and will be carried out using ProCure 21+.

BAQUS Construction Consultancy was commissioned to provide Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration services via the Trust's Framework Agreement for the enabling works and will act as the Trust's Cost Advisor for the main works.

Our healthcare team has extensive experience and understanding of working in live hospital environments and dealing with projects of all sizes with challenging logistics and timescales.
