Who knew our Surveyors could do Gardening?!

Ahead of the LAMDA Opening on the 14th June 2017, some of the BAQUS team decided to add a new string to their bow.... Gardening. The morning of the opening, Andy Welch (Executive Director), Scott Owen (Senior Surveyor) and Josh Wilkie (Quantity Surveyor) made an extra early visit to add one final touch and brighten up the front entrance to The Simon Sainsbury Theatre by planting some flowers.

On Twitter, Sheila Benjamin (@LAMDA_Manager) tweeted "Thanks @BaqusGroupltd - this definitely wasn't in the scope of services, but much appreciated by @LAMDAdrama! #LAMDAopening #YouMadeItHappen"

Following this tweet Sheila then tweeted "In a big week for @LAMDAdrama, this is definitely the best unofficial moment @BaqusGroupltd . And they're still alive (so are the plants)." (See pictures 3 & 4 which were attached with this tweet).

The BAQUS team were pleased to get involved with some of the final touches to ensure the best opening possible for LAMDA.

The new facility comprises a 200+ seat theatre (the Simon Sainsbury Theatre) with a full height fly tower, a 120 seat studio theatre (The Carne Theatre), 10 flexible rehearsal/teaching studios, a dedicated recorded media suite, the Sackler Library & Study Centre,  state of the art technical and backstage facilities, student changing rooms, offices and meeting rooms.

BAQUS acted as Employer’s Agent, CDM Consultants and Quantity Surveyors on the project.
